    Heightened awareness of potential threats.

     

    The Hall Check protocol is initiated when a situation arises that calls for heightened awareness in the school building. A Hall Check may indicate a situation such as a medical issue, missing student, potential threat, or significant law enforcement incident near or outside the school.

     

    During a Hall Check, staff members should check the area around their classrooms for any suspicious activity or items. Classroom doors should be closed and locked. Unless directed otherwise, class may continue as normal during a Hall Check protocol. Staff will be kept informed and updated through the school's emergency communications system.
