Randy Bennion, Principal
Mr. Bennion is excited to be a part of South Cache Middle School and have the opportunity to get to know the students and staff. He has been in our school district since 1992 and looks forward to helping students, teachers, and staff every day. “Every day is an opportunity to influence students in a positive way. I love giving service to students, staff and families.”
Mr. Bennion has a bachelor's degree in Psychology with minors in Business Administration and Japanese from Utah State University, a masters degree in School Counseling from Utah State University, and a school administrative certification from Idaho State University.
Mr. Bennion started his career in Ogden School district working in two elementary schools. He moved to Mountain Crest High School where he worked as a Counselor for 12 years. He then moved into administration. Mr. Bennion has enjoyed working at North Cache as Assistant Principal, Cache High School as Principal, White Pine Middle School as Principal and Green Canyon High School as Assistant Principal.
When Mr. Bennion isn’t at work, he loves to be outdoors biking, running, canyoneering, snowmobiling, snow shoeing, and boating with his family.

Joel Winkler, Assistant Principal
Mr. Winkler has been with Cache County School District since 2009 and has loved becoming a part of this great community. He holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Utah State University, a master’s degree in school counseling from University of Phoenix, and an administrative certificate in educational leadership from Utah State University.
Prior to becoming an administrator, Mr. Winkler spent several years as a school counselor and a classroom teacher. He has worked with secondary students of all ages in grades 6 through 12, including an alternative high school and a dormitory for Navajo students.
Mr. Winkler’s favorite part of working in education is helping students identify solutions to their problems and seeing them grow as they work through their challenges.
