Playground Rules

  • SCHOOL BEHAVIOR

    Weapons are not permitted.

    Obscene literature etc. is not permitted

    Possession/use of drugs, alcohol, or tobacco is not permitted.

    Vandalism and theft will not be tolerated.

    Be polite, courteous, and exercise safe behavior at all times

    Students will treat one another with acceptance and respect.

    Name calling, swearing, and bad language will not be tolerated

    Be respectful in talking with and interacting with playground aides.

    Talking back is not allowed.

    Harassment, intimidation, tormenting, teasing, name-calling.

    Violent behavior, fights, assaults, or threats will not be tolerated.

    Habitual absences or tardiness will be addressed individually.

     

    SCHOOL RULES:

    Stay in supervised areas only.

    Children should ask permission to go after balls.

    Children should ask permission to go back into the school to get a coat or jacket or to use the restrooms. Aide discretion will decide.

    Students are not allowed to play or wander in the halls or in their classrooms. ("Rainy Day" exceptions apply to classrooms.)

    Keep hands and feet off fences and backstops. (No climbing or shaking.)

    Leave toys at home

    Shoes must be worn at all times outdoors.

    Do not take food out of the lunchroom

    Throwing snow, rocks, or wood chips is not permitted.

     

     

    LUNCH RECESS GUIDELINES

    The following activities are NOT allowed during lunch recess:

    1    Jumping off equipment is not permitted.

    2    Swings: Twisting, jumping out of, running between, swinging with a partner, or throwing swings up over bar are not acceptable.

    3    Slides: Go down the slides in the correct direction, no running up the slides, no pushing students down the slide, do not block the slide path.

    4    Tag or running on the playground equipment is not allowed (Tag only on grass).

    5    Bars: No hanging from jungle gyms, or bars with no hands.

    6    Balls are not to be thrown against the buildings.

    7    Balls are not allowed to be thrown or kicked, (football, soccer, dodge ball), on the blacktop, (only on the grass).

    8    Balls and jump ropes, etc.: HOLD these while waiting in line.

    9    Ropes and jump ropes may not be used for tying to each other, to fences, or to playground equipment.

    10   Dangerous games are not allowed, such as "crack the whip", "Red Rover", "Tackle Football", "Pyramids", "Hard Ball (baseball)", "Chicken Fights". 

    11   Fighting, wrestling, kicking, tackling, or tripping is not permitted - even if in fun.

    12   WINTER:  No snowball throwing, No ice cave, No ice slides

    13   You can't say, "You Can't Play."

    14.  No crawling under gray hill area.

     

    STUDENTS ARE ALLOWED TO GO BACK INTO THE SCHOOL TO GET A COAT OR JACKET. STUDENTS SHOULD AT THIS TIME BRING OUT ANY PLAY EQUIPMENT THEY MAY WANT. 

    STUDENTS MAY OR MAY NOT GO BACK INTO THE CLASSROOMS TO BRING OUT PLAY EQUIPMENT.  THIS WILL BE ACCORDING TO AIDE'S DISCRETION.
