    The Human Resource / Payroll Department exists to help hire and retain quality staff. We support administrators, teachers, and support staff so that they may do what’s best for our students.

      • Certified   - in order to move on the pay scale with qualifying credits, please submit your official transcripts reflecting those credits by October 1st of the contract year. If we receive them after October 1st your new pay will be reflected on the next contract year.

        If you are unsure of your renewal requirements or you hold an Interim certificate, please see the bottom of your certificate or call or email the State Department of Education, Teacher Certification at: 

     

    • TUITION reimbursement program 
      • as per the MASTER CONTRACT - "Every staff member who completes credits in a program that leads to a graduate degree (M.A., M.S., M.B.A., J.D, Ed Specialist, Ed D., Ph.D.)  is eligible for tuition reimbursement. This is for any credits completed after Sept 1 of this contract year.  Staff members will pay for the credits initially.  
        • Graduate credits are reimbursed at a rate of $150 per credit for up to 6 credits per year.  To receive this reimbursement, the staff member must fill out the Tuition Reimbursement form and include the required documents.  The Human Resources Department must receive these documents.

    • CREDIT reimbursement program
      • as per the MASTER CONTRACT - "Certified staff who complete continuing education credits through the Idaho Education Association or Kuna School District, and pay for college credit for the course  (up to 2 credits per staff) are eligible to receive reimbursement. This is for any credits completed after Sept 1 of this contract year."
        • To receive this reimbursement, the staff member must fill out the Credit Reimbursement form and include the required documents (application, receipt of payment, and official transcript reflecting the classes taken). The Human Resources Department must receive these documents.

    • Internal Transfer Request for next school year PROCESS
      • If you are a CERTIFIED staff employee and are interested in being transferred to a different school for next year, please follow this process:

         

        1. View job openings on the Kuna Schools website (under careers)
        2. Apply for any positions or POOLS as an INTERNAL CANDIDATE (top right hand corner)
        3. Answer the Transfer Request questions in the application
        4. Submit

         

        You will be interviewed for any openings by the administrator at the school you are requesting and qualified to go to. The only thing promised to you is an interview. The administrators are still in charge of which qualified candidates they hire for their openings.
