Welcome to Joplin Schools Department of Food and Nutrition Services! The Food and Nutrition Services team for Joplin Schools, represented by a staff of over 100 well trained, dedicated women and men, provide high quality, nutritionally balanced, and affordable breakfasts and lunches to more than 7,700 students daily across our district. We take pride in providing nutritious meals to our students. Our department continues to expand and grow to meet the needs of the school environment, and expanding services to meet the needs within our community.

We are pleased to announce the ability to apply for Free and Reduced Priced Meals online at no cost to you! The process is SAFE, SECURE, PRIVATE, and AVAILABLE anytime, anywhere!

In addition to the National School Lunch and Breakfast programs, our services also include an after-school supper program. The Nutrition Services team also provides a summer school feeding program. 

We recognize breakfast and lunch are important in contributing to the learning process throughout the school day. Good nutrition is vital to the mental and physical growth of students during the formative years. As such, the Food Service program continues to operate as an integral part of the total educational program.





In accordance with Federal civil rights law and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) civil rights regulations and policies, the USDA, its Agencies, office, and employees, and institutions participating in or administering USDA programs are prohibited from discriminating based on race, color, national origin, sex, disability, age, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity in any program or activity conducted or funded by USDA.  

Persons with disabilities who require alternative means of communication for program information (e.g. Braille, large print, audiotape, American Sign Language, etc.) should contact the Agency (state or local) where they applied for benefits.  Individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing, or have speech disabilities may contact USDA through the Federal Relay Service at (800) 877-8339.  Additionally, the program information may be made available in languages other than English.

To file a program complain of discrimination, complete the USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form.  (AD-3027) found on online at http//www.ascr.usda.gov/complaint.filing.cust.html and at any USDA office, or write a letter addressed to USDA and provide in the letter all of the information requested in the form.  To request a copy of the complaint form, call (866) 632-9992.  Submit your complaint form or letter to USDA by
