Daxton Maze

  • Mr. Daxton Maze, Board Member

    Daxton Maze was born and raised in Hartselle. He was a varsity athlete for Hartselle High School, where he graduated from in 2006.  Daxton graduated from The University of Alabama in 2010 with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, and he earned his Master’s degree in Systems Engineering from The University of Alabama at Huntsville in 2014. He was employed as a civil engineer from 2010 to 2014 with the U.S. Army Garrison on Redstone Arsenal, before accepting a job as the Director of Public Works for the City of Hartselle.  Since early 2016, Daxton has been employed by Hartselle Utilities as the Engineering Services Manager. Daxton is an active member of the Hartselle Rotary Club, Hartselle Lions Club, Hartselle Area Chamber of Commerce, and past chairman of the Hartselle Utilities Board of Directors.

    Daxton and his wife, Olivia, also a Hartselle native, have lived in Hartselle since they married in 2014. They have three children - Collins, Max, and Walt.  Olivia is a pharmacist at Gilchrist Pharmacy in Hartselle. They love the City of Hartselle and look forward to raising a family in this wonderful town and school system. Daxton and Olivia are active members of First Baptist Church Hartselle.

    Daxton has been a member of the Hartselle City Schools Board of Education since 2016.
