Ms. Contreras is a proud Salvadoran American! She graduated from CSUN with a B.A. in psychology and a minor in human resource management. Before pursuing a teaching credential, she worked as a behavior therapist at various schools and homes in the San Fernando Valley. She earned her teaching credential and masters in Education at CSULA.  Ms. Contreras returned to CSULA and earned a credential and masters in Educational Administration in 2019.  The 2022-2023 school year marked the beginning of Ms. Contreras' thirteenth year as a Resource Teacher at Hoover High School. Working with teenagers is a passion for her. During her free time she enjoys going on walks, listening to parenting podcasts, and dreaming of her next vacation with her husband Victor and daughter Veida.
