Ms. Iraheta

Hello my wonderful seniors!

Graduation is just around the corner. 12th grade year is so exciting, especially when you attend all the senior events, earn scholarships, get admitted to colleges, enter the workforce, and so much more.

I love helping my students succeed in school. Please reach out if you need anything. Maybe you're not happy with your grades? Perhaps you feel stuck or stressed? You might be having trouble with a friend? Possibly you're not sleeping or sleeping too much? No matter what the issues are, I am here to help you manage any challenge. I cannot wait for us to work together and help you meet your goals and plan for your future.

If you would like to schedule a meeting, book an appointment on the "You Can Book Me" calendar below. If you would like a Zoom or a call back, please email me, so I can take care of your request.

Students, if you are not enrolled in my Google Classroom Class of 2024 (maybe you are unenrolled or are new to the school), email me so I can add you.

Email Tips

- Check your student GUSD email at least once a day

- Use your personal email (Gmail, icloud, Yahoo, etc.) for colleges, scholarships, employment, programs, etc.
Note: Your GUSD email only works to email teachers and staff on the GUSD network. Also, you will not have access to your Gmail student account email after graduation. It will be deleted.

- Do not write the content of the email in the "subject" area.

- Say Hello / Good morning. Use a greeting.

- Write your message and enter it in the space provided, after the "subject area."

- End with a Thank you, Sincerely, All the Best, etc.

About Me

  • LolaI'm a proud mom of 2 great guys! My oldest saves lives along with other brave emergency responders. He graduated from GHS and entered the workforce. My youngest is an engineer and a UCLA grad. Both attended GUSD school and have fond memories of Cerritos, Roosevelt and GHS. As a GUSD employee and former parent, I am very happy to be part of this community.

My career at GUSD began over 28 years ago as an ed assistant at Cerritos. Soon, I became a teacher and loved all my students and families. I still keep in touch with many of them! My first role as a school counselor began at Hoover after being an intern in the counseling department. I have also worked at GHS and Roosevelt. I have a B.A. from Cal State LA, an M.S. in School Counseling from National University, an M.A. in Educational Administration from CSUN as well as my teaching and PPS credentials.

I love partnering and building relationships with students, families, & staff to help our students achieve their goals and dreams. My mantra is to say "YES" to more happy moments while helping teenagers along their way. In my spare time, I love hanging out with my family & taking care of Lola, our adorable Lab.

Students book a time that works for you. If your parents/guardians are booking the meeting, make sure you are available to join us. When school is in session, students must book a meeting during snack, lunch, or after school if they are not with their parents/guardians to ensure you are in class. If the matter cannot wait, you may also ask your teacher if it's okay to go to the counseling office with a pass.
