    Frog in the forest arts

My work is of a girl holding a small frog. On the side, there is a poem describing how they both matter in each other's lives and it's from both the sirl's perspective and the frog's. ( the girl's is in stanza one, and the frog's is in stanza two.) This illustration expresses a more whimsical sense and is in a style that I think really expresses myself. I worked really hard on this and enjoyed creating it very much, and I hope you like it as well! To make this piece, I used a digital art program called Procreate on an iPad.

Honorable Mention - Kaila Sherwood- Kong - Entry 11 - I Matter Because...

    A sonnet

My submission is a Sonnet, which consists of four rhyming stanzas, ten syllables each line and the following structure: abab, cdcd, efef, gg. This pandemic has caused me to realize what was considered important before is not really important in our every-day lives. No matter how difficult a challenge is, there will always be something to learn and smile about.

Award of Excellence - Marcella Caudillo - Entry 14 - Matter

    Matter1 Matter2

This short story "Matter" is about a girl and her family in a normal day with emotional struggles and heartwarming moments. They laugh, cry and smile and grow closer as a family. It relates to the theme as throughout the story the main character, Jordyn, is reminded that she matters.
