My name is Josi Kneisel and I am so excited to be your child's 3rd grade teacher this year! This is my 21st year teaching with Glendale Unified, and my third year at Cerritos. I attended Cal State Los Angeles where I received a B.A. in Psychology and my multiple subject teaching credential. I also attended the University of Phoenix where I received a Masters in Education with a specialization in Curriculum and Instruction. After that, I added the BCLAD in Spanish certification to my teaching credential. 

I love learning about science and technology, and as a child, I was going to be an astronomer when I grew up. Today, I'm excited by the idea that maybe one of my students will use the coding they begin to learn here at Cerritos to program rovers or other technologies that will be used in the exploration of our solar system. With the first flights of the Artemis missions coming this year, our students can see a very direct path to future careers in space and supporting space exploration! With our partnership with Dignity Health, many careers in science and medicine await as well. I'd say the sky is the limit, but I hope someone from my class ends up sending me messages from space someday!
