Visual and Performing Arts English Option
Along with a rigorous academic program, Keppel offers dance, theatre, music, and visual art experiences to all students both as independent classes and as interdisciplinary subjects woven into core content areas: Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies. Integration of the arts provides students with opportunities to excel and thrive as creative, flexible thinkers ready to meet the demands of the 21st century.

The FLAG Korean program follows a 50:50 Dual Language Immersion model. Korean Dual Immersion students receive instruction in Korean for 50% of the day and in English for 50% of the day. Korean language is taught both for language acquisition and content instruction with the integration of the arts. FLAG students participate in all VAPA programs and activities in addition to Korean and English instruction. Careful consideration is given to the selection and planning of the content areas and themes that are taught in Korean and English. All FLAG students applying for FLAG Korean 1st to 5th grade will be assessed for language fluency in the areas of reading, writing, listening, and speaking in the target language.
