I have been at Monte Vista Elementary School for 19 years and teaching in the Glendale Unified School District for 29 years. I received my credential and Masters in Education from California State University, Los Angeles. I assisted with the California Distinguished School and Blue Ribbon applications. I am a former district teacher mentor, and I continue to support new teachers. I taught credential classes for teachers at California State University, Los Angeles for 8 years.

I am married and have two children. My husband, Nick, teaches at Clark Magnet High School. My daughter, Isabella, is in tenth grade at CVHS and my son, Mitchell, is in ninth grade at Clark. I continue to grow and learn as I teach, parent, and work with my colleagues.
