Welcome Lincoln Family

  •  Dear Lincoln Families,

Our theme for 2017-2018, “Choose Your Path", is to provide our students the environment to establish goals, take responsibility, and gain independence. As we each follow our path to success, we must adjust and make decisions to choose the direction which will best lead us there.  Our daily life presents us with a variety of choices to make, but then it’s up to us to make the effort to follow that path.  Everything worth doing requires effort.  Everything worth doing is hard.  Following a path to reach our goals will require effort and hard work.

Our construction project required effort and hard work this past year.  Now, we plan to open our 2017-2018 school year with 6 new classrooms.  Each classroom will contain 21st century technology and furnishings, which includes an 80” interactive TV, furniture designed for collaboration, chairs providing sensory input,  and a built-in amplification system.  There will be covered walkways, protecting our students from inclement weather as they travel across the campus.  The playground will be enhanced with additional shade trees, an artificial turf field and a special fenced off area to build raised organic garden planters.

Our school volunteers were amazing last year and we look forward to another successful year providing our students fun learning experiences along with social events which bring our Lincoln Ohana closer together.  We have an Egg Drop, Jogathon, Mother-Son Olympiad, Daddy-Daughter Dance, Science Fair, Family Book Fair Night, Screen-Free Week, Winter Wonderland, Halloween Parade, Lincoln 500, Book Banquet, Walk to School Days, Timeless Tiles, Red Ribbon Week, Yellow Ribbon Week, Pool Party, Handprint Wall, and Garden Club.  If you are a new parent at Lincoln, please jump right in and sign up to assist with some of our PTA or Foundation sponsored activities.  Our volunteer activities engage and connect our Lincoln Lions to school!  Please attend our Back to School Coffee during the morning on the first day of school to learn more about helping the Lincoln pride.  Make it your goal to be involved!

“If you keep following your path, then you will be closer to your goals tomorrow than you were today.”

    Sincerely,

    Stephen Williams, M.A.
