School Culture

Home  \  Parents  \  Intercultural Divers...  \  School Culture
Maple Creek strives to be a benchmark for cultural education while exemplifying celebrations of diversity. Our entire staff is committed toward the continuance of a strong and thriving school culture that promotes acceptance, understanding, and appreciation of ALL students and staff.

Student Human Relations Liaisons

As part of our Student Leadership we have three elected Student Human Relations Liaisons (SHRL's) in grades 4-6.  Our Student Human Relations Council meets with our Principal at least one time monthly to provide important and feedback toward school improvement. The SHRL Council is focused on problem-solving issues that may be effecting our campus. The groups membership is representative of our school's demographics offering diverse representation.  In addition to monthly meetings with our Principal, the SHRL Council meet regularly within Student Leadership and attend our site PBIS meetings with staff.  It is our goal that our SHRL Council serves as a student advisory committee to our site administration. As SHRL's students are encouraged to offer input to the planning of intentional school activities that will promote intergroup relationships.
