Marimba Band, a performance group established in 1976, has been available to Clovis High students as a class for credit since 1979.  Students are taught the rudiments of music and music theory in the context of traditional Mexican and Latin influenced music.  Participants have the opportunity to develop their musical interests and talents as they learn about stage presence, performance, audience awareness, and teamwork.  Marimba often joins with the CHS Folklorico dance group for performances.  Students with knowledge of music are welcome as are students who would like to learn about the music of this class.
