    !Homework!

My Homework Philosophy- If a child works hard at school and completes their assignments, then their time at home should be just that...time at home. All I ask is that students spend at least 30 minutes Monday through Thursday reading their assigned reading book and have parents to initial their reading log in the far right column. I will check reading logs Tuesday - Friday mornings. I will handle signing in all AR books so I can be sure your child is reading at their appropriate reading level.

*The Exception to My Homework Philosophy: If a student is unable to complete an assignment in class and there will not be time the following day, I will ask that the assignment be completed that evening for homework. There will be a place in their Nightly Folders for this work to be found.

We also learn prefixes and suffixes each week. Students will be bringing a list of words home each week to review for a few minutes each night to prepare for the test at the end of the week.

Also, toward the end of the year, light homework may come home more frequently in order to prepare for End of Grade Tests.
