I am Laura Beck, the AIG Specialist for Lower Creek Elementary School. I have been teaching middle school math/science and working with gifted students for the past 18 years. I am thrilled with the opportunity to work with your student this year.  If you are new to LCES, I would like to share with you a little about the AIG program here. My role at LCES is Resource Support/Consultative. Classroom teachers differentiate instruction for AIG math and AIG reading students. On a weekly basis, I am in the classrooms with the middle school students and work with the teachers to find materials which will enrich the educational experience of AIG students. At the elementary level, I also provide consultative and direct services by pulling out AIG identified students in a small group once per week.
