    • Title I provides Federal funds for students and communities that are classified s economically disadvantaged.
    • This classification is determined by poverty rating, which is based on free and reduced lunch counts.
    • We are a "school-wide school", meaning every student benefits from Title I funding.
    • Funds are used to supplement educational programs and to train teachers.
    • Funds are used in the following ways at WLMS
      • Hire highly-qualified teachers to reduce class size
      • Purchase research-based educational programs
      • Offer parent engagement activities
      • Provide high-quality staff development
      • Provide professional development
      • Pay substitutes for teachers obtaining professional development
