My name is Katelyn Long, and I am the 5th Year Seminar instructor. 

I am a CECHS alumna, and I am so thankful to be working at my alma mater. After graduating from CECHS in 2014 with my high school diploma and Associate in Arts degree, I transferred to Catawba College in Salisbury, NC, where I graduated in 2017 with a B.S. in Theatre Arts Administration and B.A. in Theatre Arts. I lived in Lexington, KY and worked at Lexington Children's Theatre, before coming home to the mountains of NC. I came home to CECHS in August of 2019 and in April of 2020, I began working as the College Liaison and Transition Advisor for CCC&TI. I am so excited to begin teaching 5th Year Seminar this year! I love working with students and helping them figure out how to navigate being college students and assisting them in reaching their post-graduation goals. I am here to support students in any way I can!

When I am not at school, I enjoy playing with my dog, Auggie, being involved in local theatre, traveling, listening to Taylor Swift, and spending time outdoors!
