    Welcome to 5th grade!!!

    This year we will be learning about everything from body systems to ecosystems.  We will be reading many exciting books, such as Thunder Rolling in the Mountains and The River Between Us.  We are going to have a blast learning how to apply math to our lives.  There will be lots of hands-on activities and active learning!  We are going to have a great time learning together!

    • Nightly Homework

      Homework Notebook

      • Reading Practice: Every night your child should read his/her assigned book.  This is important to help your child's growth as a reader.  Please sign your child's reading log after he/she has read at least 30 minutes.  Your child needs to read Monday through Thursday, but they are encouraged to read every day.  
      • Any unfinished class work: Any work not finished in class will need to be completed and sent to school the following day.

       

      Occasionally, there will be short math or reading worksheets sent home to complete or science flashcards to study for homework.

      In order to have perfect attendance, students can only have two tardies.  If they have three or more, they are not eligible for perfect attendance.
