I am excited to be at Whitnel Elementary as the Assistant Principal. Previously, I was an 8th-grade reading and social studies teacher at Gamewell Middle School for 8 years. I completed my bachelor's degree from Appalachian State University and then went on to get a master's in Educational Leadership from Grand Canyon University. Serving others is my passion and being in administration allows me to serve all stakeholders of the school. 

I am married and have 3 sons and 2 wonderful grandchildren. I enjoy spending time with all my family. I am also the choir director at my church and the president of the women's mission group at my church.
