• Valmead Elementary teachers follow the NC Standard Course of Study. More information can be found at NCDPI. Throughout the year, students will take benchmark assessments that allow teachers to assess student growth and provide targeted interventions to students to help close learning gaps. More information can be found at STAR Renaissance. At the end of the year students will take end of year assessments (K-2) and end of grade assessments (3-5). These results factor into our school report card grade which can be found at NC Report Cards.
