• Musical Books - Dewey Style

    Our 2nd graders have been learning about the Dewey Decimal System by playing an adaption to musical chairs.  They had to find the call number, identify what section the books belonged to, and then find that category in our non-fiction section.  Not only were they learning some library skills but they were also working on math skills (identifying place value, and organizing themselves in order in a number line!).  Media is SO much more than just books!
