Mrs. Cheryl Vosdingh
Hi Everyone,
My name is Cheryl Vosdingh. I began volunteering at Dudley Shoals Elementary School in 2005 when my son was in second grade with Mrs. SarahBeth Cooke. I immediatly fell in love with her, the students, and the school. I got hired as a Teacher Assistant in 2006 and worked toward my degree in education. In 2013, I received my B.S. in Special Education from Appalachian State University and was hired that same year as a Resource Teacher K-5.
I was born in Maryland, just outside of Washington DC. At the age of 13, my father retired from the Distric of Columbia Fire Department. We moved to Montrose, Pennsylvania a small town in the North Eastern part of the state. In 1988, I moved to Orlando Florida where I met and married my best friend Steve. In 1997 our amazing son Jacob was born. By this time my parents had moved and lived happily in Hickory. My husband and I decided we wanted to raise our son in this area as well. Jacob is now 19 years old beginning his walk through adulthood (they grow up too fast). We have 2 dogs; Maggie Mae and Roxie Blu and 1 cat; Winnie Pooh (Jacob named when he was a toddler).
I feel very blessed to be a part of the Dudley Shoals community, and to have the opportunity to help shape the young minds of our future.
I have been introduced to a new way of communicating with families. It is called Remind. If you have a Smartphone, dumb phone, or email address this is a great way for us to keep in touch. Please click on the following link for instructions. Our class code is mrsvsclass.
