Mrs. Philyaw is a 1997 graduate of West Caldwell. She earned her bachelor's degree from Western Carolina University in 2001 and her master's degree from Appalachian State University in 2005, and is a current doctoral student at Liberty University.  She taught at West Caldwell for 18 years before moving to the Early College in the fall of 2019. She is married to Mr. Philyaw (at HMS) and is the mother of four children.
