Welcome!  My name is Patrick Haymore and I am the Director of Bands at Granite Falls Middle School.  I am a 2003 graduate of Appalachian State University and have a Bachelor of Music in Music Education. I am currently in my twenty-first year of teaching and my eighth year at Granite Falls.  I started band when I was in the sixth grade at Central Middle School in Dobson, North Carolina.  I was a trumpet player for a couple of months before I switched to tuba.  Tuba has been my main instrument ever since!  I am fortunate to still be able to play my instrument in several local ensembles.  I am a founding member of the Catawba Valley Brass Quintet and also play in the Lenoir-Rhyne University Wind Symphony.

 

The mission of the Granite Falls Middle School Band Program is to provide students with an enriching musical experience: to facilitate students in developing a level of musical growth that will enhance their quality of life and enable them to become lifelong advocates of music.
