I grew up in upstate New York and attended the State University of New York at Geneseo where I earned my degree in elementary education. In North Carolina, I began teaching at William Lenoir Middle School, where I taught sixth through eighth grade language arts for four years and then 8th grade math and Math I for three years. I then transferred to Granite Falls Middle School where I taught eighth grade math, Math 1, and academic support classes for both reading and math for a total of four years. The next five years, I spent teaching math in the Freshman Academy at South Caldwell High School. 

This is my third year at Gateway School, and I am excited to be working with our new and returning students this year!
