I received my degree in English and History from North Carolina State University in 2006. After graduation, I taught 8th grade English and Social Studies in Burke County for 8 years. In 2014, I was accepted into the North Carolina Principal Fellows Program. As a Fellow, I was fortunate enough to complete a full-time internship at Dudley Shoals Elementary while earning my Masters degree in School Administration from Western Carolina University. Upon completion of the program, I was offered and accepted the assistant principal position at William Lenoir Middle School. After 3 wonderful years at WLMS, I was afforded the opportunity to serve as Principal of Dudley Shoals and truly enjoyed rekindling friendships with the families and community there. I now get to serve as Principal of William Lenoir Middle and returning has been such a wonderful experience! Since my homecoming, I completed my Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership and look forward to utilizing the skills I learned to better serve our students and community. It is a privilege to work alongside an excellent teaching staff with such a student-centered approach. It makes WLMS a wonderful place to work and learn. I am proud to be a Wildcat and proud to be a part of such a wonderful school system in Caldwell County.
