    What does a Speech Language Pathologist do?

    Help children who may have difficulties in one or more of the following areas:

    • Articulation...place and production of articulators
    • Language...concepts such as spacial, quantity, and size as well as the structure of speech
    • Voice...patterns of vocal abuse
    • Fluency...the smoothness or flow with which sounds, syllables, words and phrases are joined together when speaking quickly
    • Phonological Awareness...distinguishing between sounds
    • Central Auditory Processing...memory tasks, listening skills attention, and sequencing
