What does a Speech Language Pathologist do?

Help children who may have difficulties in one or more of the following areas:

Articulation...place and production of articulators

Language...concepts such as spacial, quantity, and size as well as the structure of speech

Voice...patterns of vocal abuse

Fluency...the smoothness or flow with which sounds, syllables, words and phrases are joined together when speaking quickly

Phonological Awareness...distinguishing between sounds

Central Auditory Processing...memory tasks, listening skills attention, and sequencing
