My name is Katie Hoyle and I am excited to be teaching 3rd grade math, science, and social
studies this year! I graduated from Appalachian State University in December 2022 with a Bachelor’s degree in
Elementary Education. This will be my first year teaching! I am a dog mom to my two Shih Tzus,
Kylo and Komi. I am really excited about learning alongside the students this year and hold
them to a high expectation. Prepare for lots of fun and learning with me this school year!   My goal in teaching is to ensure an environment where students feel valued, loved, and accepted. I want every student to be successful and learn as many skills as they can
to apply to their everyday lives, whether it be academically or socially. I look forward to this
