FAQ:
What is leadership & what do I do?
In leadership class, you learn valuable skills while essentially serving as an event planner for the school! As a leadership class, you help to plan for homecoming, powderpuff, pep rallies, spirit week, the senior picnic- just to name a few. From budgeting to decorations, you assist in the entire process of planning and putting on an event. You will learn how to build and create your personal resume while working on real events for CCHS and communicate with adults within the school and community all while working on improving your leadership skills, communication skills, and more. There will also be community service activities and other fun events for the class.
Do I have to be on student council?
No! Student Council is required to take leadership, but you are not required to be on student council to take the class.
What is the time commitment?
The majority of planning and creating for events will take place during class time. Many events will take place after school, such as homecoming or powder puff, and the leadership/stuco members are required to be at these events since they are hosting them. Additionally, there will be some other out-of-school commitments, but never anything you would not have less than a 2 week notice for.
