Thank you for being a part of the Central Cabarrus High School community. Tradition is a critical aspect of our school’s identity as our school was formed in 1966 by joining three area high schools: Bethel, Harrisburg, and Hartsell. In its beginning, Central was home to 850 students and 45 teachers. In the 55 years since opening, the school has experienced multiple waves of growth; we now serve over 1300 students with a staff of over 130. In that time, we are proud to have built a strong tradition of academic excellence, dedicated civic duty, and athletic, arts, and extracurricular achievement.
Throughout our efforts within the Central Cabarrus community, we hold tight to our core beliefs and values:
- We will continue to advocate for public education.
- We will model a positive habit of mind.
- We will put students first.
- We will graduate students that are well prepared for life beyond high school.
Most importantly, our driving force is our mission: “We will provide a safe, positive, and respectful community to empower students’ development into responsible citizens.”
