Hello Rockets Family!

My name is Nefera Herusaba and I look forward to serving as the 7th and 8th grade math teacher this year.  I have recently relocated to Concord from New York City with my husband and 18-month-old son.  We are looking forward to building relationships and integrating into the local community.  

I bring with me 12 years of experience teaching middle grades math in Harlem and Brooklyn, NY. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Kennesaw State University, Georgia and my Master’s in Secondary Math Education from New York University.  My education and experience has taught me that all students can develop their mathematical reasoning and skills with great instruction, a growth mindset, and multiple opportunities for practice and feedback.

This year, together with your scholars, we will create a welcoming, affirming environment to explore the beautiful patterns and relationships all around us through a mathematical lens.
