Mrs. Melissa Pickens
Welcome! My name is Melissa Pickens. I am originally from southern Illinois, but my family and I moved to North Carolina in January of 2018. This is my fourth year at CCHS, and I have a total of 17.5 years of mathematics teaching experience. I have a Bachelors in Mathematics from McKendree College/University and a Masters of Science in Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in Mathematics Education from Southern Illinois University. My prior experience in teaching includes Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, College Algebra, College Geometry, Calculus III, and Differential Equations. This Spring 2023, I am teaching STEM Honors Math 3 and AP Calculus AB. I love being a member of the faculty at CCHS and look forward to having a great semester!
