Spartans Sing at Busch Stadium July 13, 2024

B-PC has tentatively secured the July 13th Cubs vs. Cardinals game as the Spartans Sing at Busch Stadium event! This event serves as both a fundraiser and unique opportunity for our students to perform at a major league stadium in front of thousands of people all while enjoying a popular local baseball rivalry.  

Participating B-PC students will sell discounted tickets to the Cubs/Cardinals game taking place on July 13, 2024. If enough tickets are sold as a school, we will have the opportunity to take the field and lead Busch Stadium in the song, “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” during the 7th inning of the game. Families wanting to attend must purchase their own tickets and arrange for transportation.

Families who want to participate should:

  2. Sell tickets.  Students will sell pledges to buy the tickets.  Pledges can be from anyone; they do not have to be made by family or folks associated with the school. Anyone interested in seeing a great game at a discounted price can pledge and purchase tickets from you.  We must sell a minimum of 300 tickets as a school district to perform.  We will be offering prizes for those students who get the most ticket pledges. As we sell more tickets the opportunities for our students this and future years increase. 
  3. Be on the lookout for more information, requirements, posts and dates regarding this great event. We will be posting ticket price information as soon as we finalize.

  1. When is the date of the game?  
    The game is on July 13th and the Cardinals play the Cubs. 

  2. Can my student participate?  
    For the inaugural event, any K-12 student may participate.  Students who wish to participate will be required to have a ticket and be accompanied by an adult who arranges for transportation.  Students also must be in good standing at school in regards to behavior, and must complete practices of the song. We have a 400 ticket allotment and they will be sold on a first come first serve basis.

  3. How and when will my student “sell” tickets?  Will we be required to handle tickets or money? 
    Students will have a pledge sheet, where people sign up with an intent to buy tickets.  At a later date we will host a ticket pick up night where tickets are paid for and picked up.  The only time you would need to handle tickets or money is if you offer to buy and pick them up for others on your pledge sheet. 

  4. How many tickets do we have to sell? 
    As a school we need to sell 300 to meet our obligation to perform.  Students who sell tickets will be put in a drawing for every 10 tickets sold.  Names will be drawn for the chance to visit the field during pregame.  We will get more future opportunities, game choices, and possible perks (possibility of a student throwing a first pitch)  in future years as we sell more tickets.

  5. Does my student have to sing for us to go?
    No, you can buy tickets and your family and your student can choose not to participate.  You will be sitting in one of the Bushnell blocks of tickets.

  6. How does selling tickets help the school?
    There are a number of benefits that come with us selling more tickets.  1) Moves us up the ladder for choice of games and songs to perform at future games. 2) Qualifies our students for better add-ons (additional field visits, possible first pitch and other opportunities). 3) Provides a fundraising opportunity for our school. 

  7. How much are tickets and where are they located?
    Tickets will be be $48 dollars each.  We have tickets in multiple 200 and 300 level sections. We are selling them at a 25-40% discount from face value.  Again, ticket availability is first come, first serve.

  8. When can I sign my student up?
    We are sending letters home starting the week of 3/18 so be on the lookout.  

  9. What happens if I sign my student up and we have a change of plans?
    You can cancel at any time.

  10. What happens if we buy tickets and can't go? Can we re-sell them?
    IF you purchase tickets and find out you cannot go, you can resell them individually.  Per our agreement with the Cardinals you may not use a secondary market service Stub Hub or Seat Geek.  They track the activity of those sites and the tickets that are listed for sale there, and if our tickets are flagged online it can jeopardize future opportunities.  If you have purchased tickets and cannot use them, please contact the Jr. High office if you need assistance. 

  11. Can we request seats or sections?
    If noted on the ticket sales sheet, we try to seat groups together.  If your a group that wants to sit with another, we do try to accommodate but cannot guarantee that will happen.  Otherwise due to the number of tickets we sell we cannot fulfill requests for section, seat location or exclusions.
