What is the "House System?"
-
The house system is an idea adopted from Ron Clark Academy to give students the opportunity to connect with students across classes and grades that they may not normally have a chance to interact with. This helps students gain more friendships and create a family-like culture at our school. We currently have approximately 400 Kindergarten through fifth-grade students.
The house system creates:
- Unity/camaraderie
- A more personal school experience
- Opportunities for students to connect across grades
- A focus on core character traits
- A sense of pride
- Leadership opportunities
What is a House Family?
-
A house family is a small group of students assigned within Houses. Students are assigned to Crownhill teachers and staff as their "house parents". House families generally consist of 12-15 students which meet periodically.
