  • Kitsap Lake is a learning community whose core values are kindness, safety, and responsibility.
     
    Our school opened its doors in 1992, and has long been known for its innovative and rigorous academic programs. Currently, our dedicated staff serves bright, diverse, and inquisitive kindergarten through 5th grade students using district curricular adoptions at the core of instruction. Our teachers are dedicated to project-based opportunities to extend learning wherever possible; and of course STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) processes are embedded across the curriculum.
     
    Not only leaders in academics, KLE is also committed to whole-child learning through careful focus on the social and emotional development and well-being of our students. Character Strong, Restorative Justice, schoolwide AVID, PBIS, Zones of Regulation, and Whole Body Listening Larry are just some of the tools we use to meet the academic and social/emotional needs of our learners.
     
    Kitsap Lake Elementary is a beautiful two story building housing nearly 420 children, Kindergarten through fifth grade. The school sits in close proximity to Kitsap Lake in a wooded west Bremerton neighborhood. The school is a vital part of the neighborhood; it is where children come to play, people walk their dogs, and families play Frisbee. The school building acts as the community center, children play competitive sports and the gym is used for many different classes and events. With the addition of our new outdoor benches, Kitsap Lake offers a lovely place to sit and chat after walking dogs or to just relax.
