Mrs. Marie Davis

Hello Parents! My name is Marie Davis, and I'm very excited for the opportunity to teach your child. I have been teaching at Back Bay Elem. since 2000. I have a B.S. degree in Psychology from Judson College, a B.S. degree in Elementary Education from The University of Southern Mississippi, and an M.Ed degree from William Carey University. I am one class away from finishing a Specialist degree in Instructional Leadership from William Carey University.
 
I am married to my wonderful husband, Jimmy, and we have three beautiful children: Dawson, Nick, Jennifer, and a grandson, Brady. We also have two precious furbabies: Duke and Cash.
 
You will witness amazing growth from your child this year, both academically and socially. They will become more independent as they learn to become more fluent readers and writers.   I truly feel that a strong foundation in reading is the key to building academic success in all subject areas. I will work diligently to ensure I am doing everything on my end to help your child build and strengthen that foundation.
