The Avondale / Goodyear Education Foundation was founded in 2014 by a group of community members who  had a vision of  "Creating Opportunities, Celebrating Excellence." They wished to support and empower students and staff of the district by providing scholarship opportunities for students and recognizing the outstanding work of the district staff in preparing these students for future sucess. The founders believed that this non-profit foundation could be a catalyst for post-secondary education by fostering student asporiations, creating community partnerships and supporting the staff who work directly with studetns everyday. The Avondale / Goodyear Education foundation was officially brough to life with its fist Board of Directors meeting on April 16th, 2015.
