Attalla Elementary School is a PK-5 school with approximately 700 students. We were formerly Curtiston Primary School and Stowers Hill Intermediate School. We are located at the former Curtiston site with classroom additions completed in 2010.  We are the only elementary school in the Attalla City School System. We are a Title I school as well as a 21st Century Learning Site.  We have excellent, highly-qualified teachers and offer our students a quality foundation in education.

School begins at 7:45 and is dismissed at 2:45. A rigorous curriculum that requires reading, writing, math, science, social studies, and physical education is scheduled.  Extra time is scheduled daily for reading and math intervention.  

Students also follow a flex schedule that allows weekly access to the library, and our school counselor.  Kindergarten through third grades also visit the library each week.
