Ms. Beckstrom

Hey everyone!!!! My name is Valerie Beckstrom and I have been teaching for over 20 years.  I have taught all different grade levels from Kindergarten to 6th grade Middle School Math and Science.  I started my career in La Puente California and taught there for 3 years however, I found my home in Alvord Unified shortly thereafter.  I love teaching!! Not having children of my own I try to treat your children as if they were my own! I am the youngest of 3, I have one brother and a twin sister.  I live here in Riverside and LOVE it!! 

A little of my educational background ...

I grew up in Hacienda Heights California. I went to the same school from kindergartgen to 8th grade ... Mesa Robles ... then moved on to Glen A. Wilson High School where I graduated in 1993.

I received my bachelor's degree from Cal Poly Pomona and my Master's degree from National University.

Some other info...

I played scoccer from the gae of 6 years old until graduating High School and played a few years of softball as well.

I am a proud Auntie of 2 nieces and 1 nephew which I adore.

I love teaching and strive to make your child's educational experience an amazing time!!  I enjoy learning about our children and helping them grow!! I truly enjoy making learning fun for all of us!!
