Miss CJ Roach

About Miss Roach:
   I've been teaching over 36 Years!  Where has the time gone?  I spent 13 of those years teaching in the Los Angeles Unified School District.  Then I took a year off from the classroom to run an outdoor science program in Big Bear Lake, CA.  It was there that I realized the classroom is where I belong.  So, here I am enjoying my 22th year at Orrenmaa.

Mission for the Class:
   It is my hope that this year's students will leave my classroom with a well-rounded education.  Learning to read and write well is extremely important to me as is being better equipped to handle everyday life with its ups and downs.  Hopefully, the journey we take to the end of the year will be full of fun and good memories.  After all, you only pass through 5th grade once!
   I do have very high expectations for my students.  However, I expect nothing from them that they are not capable of doing.  What is expected of them is what would be expected of any other 5th grader in the United States.  If they can meet my expectations, you will see just how capable your child is.  They might even amaze themselves!
