    La Sierra currently offers 2 levels of choir classes:
     
    Beginning Chorus - There is no prerequisite for taking this class.  Students in this course learn to read music, sing in harmony, and to improve their personal vocal technique.
     
    Concert Choir - This is the advanced class, so students should either have taken at least one year of choir previously in middle or high school, OR have passed an audition with Mrs. Maki.  Candidates for this class should be able to read music, accurately follow his or her part in a choral score, and demonstrate the ability to sing in tune without accompaniment.
     
    Both choirs participate in several performances each semester, including concerts, choir festivals, school events, ceremonies, community functions, etc.
