100 Mile Club

  •

Childhood obesity and inactivity is on the rise in our society.  Foothill Elementary students, staff, and parents have the opportunity to participate in physical fitness together in a fun, non-threatening and inclusive way.  Participants in the 100 Mile Club® have the opportunity to run or walk daily with the goal of reaching 100 miles in a single school year.  The 100 Mile Club® is a supervised activity that happens every day before school on the grass area near the playground from 7:40-7:55am.  In addition, 100 Mile Club® also occurs after school on Fridays from 2:30-3:00pm.  Participants not only receive health benefits but can earn rewards and incentives for completing 25, 50, 75 and 100 miles.  Physical activities not only support health and well-being, but improve school readiness, build self-esteem, and support learning.  Join us in becoming fit and healthy and participate in the 100 Mile Club®!
