This program is designed to help only the neediest students. The program is NOT a snack program. It is designed to be weekend meals for children. Students are selected by the principal, assistant principal, counselor, psychologist, social worker, or teacher. Once a student is identified, a letter will be sent home to the parent explaining the program to see if they are interested. If they are interested, the signed consent form is returned and the social worker will notify the program. Once the student has been accepted, they will begin to receive a bag of food first thing Friday morning (unless a holiday or school is closed, then it may be the day prior), for the children to take home.
Any questions regarding the program can be directed to the school social worker: vicky.daly@yourcharlotteschools.net or x3655
The school also has a food pantry that can be accessed by any students or families at KES!
