She was the Exceptional Student Education Liaison at Kingsway Elementary from the 2010-2016 school years. She received a mini-grant that opened a Sensory Room and trained Special Areas teachers in the Zones of Regulation curriculum. She returned to the inclusive classes in grades K-2 as Varying Exceptionalities teacher for the 2016-2018 school years. She is excited to begin working at the High School level. She received her Bachelors of Science degree in Elementary Education in 1992 from the newly designated Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts. She has worked in Exceptional Student Education for thirty years. She began as a Teacher Assistant for students with significant learning, physical, and behavioral needs in grades 5-12 at her former Junior/High School in Chatham, Massachusetts. She also taught after school homework groups and Pre-K ESE summer camps. In September 1999, she landed her first full-time teaching job in Sandwich, Massachusetts as an Exceptional Student Education Teacher in grades 3 and 4. She completed her Masters of Education degree in Special Education at Bridgewater State University in May 2000. She became the grade 7 Exceptional Student Education Teacher for the 2003-2004 school year. She created and taught a study skills curriculum, instructed small group English and Math classes, maintained a homeroom class, and worked in inclusive classes.
