December is around the corner, which means it's almost time to set up for the Charlie Brown Christmas Tree Grove on the Town Green here in Windsor. This beloved annual tradition displays the best of Windsor — from elementary school classes and 4H and Girl Scout troops to tributes to the firefighters, women's equality, individuals and other important causes and small businesses. And all the Christmas magic doesn't happen by itself … so that's where you come in!
If your company or student base needs to log some volunteer hours before the end of the year, this is the perfect way to get involved in your community and create something special for Sonoma County. The organizers, People4Parks, need your help to transport wine barrels, unload trees, attach trees to wine barrels, etc. As always, it literally takes a village to make Windsor’s Charlie Brown Christmas Tree Grove happen. It’s an opportunity to help your community and gain service hours if needed.
