Develop action plans for students with medical conditions (i.e.,allergies, asthma, diabetes, seizures)
Monitor immunization status, oral and physical examination requirements
Input data on medical conditions in student file and communicate to district employees
Screening students:
Vision: Grades K, 2, 5, 8
Hearing: Grades K, 2, 5, 8, 10
Scoliosis: Grades 7 (girls), 8 (boys)
Training:
In-service for non-licensed employees who administer medication or provide first aid
Universal precautions
Health education topics: nutrition, medical emergencies
Supervision of Health Assistants
Employee Health – Tuberculosis Screening
Ensure Public Health – infectious, contagious or communicable diseases
Assist in district and site COVID response and planning
Working with families during COVID-based quarantine: intake, quarantine protocols, return to campus protocols.
Preschool student home visits with School Psychologist and Special Education Teachers
Attend Individual Education Meetings for students with medical needs
Case management of students with significant medical needs
