**Don Insley

Geneseo State University
University of Rochester- Moved to Wellsville in 1970 where he served the school and community for 32 years.
- He was recognized as the doctor of the football team while he served as their athletic trainer for over 20 years.
- For 14 years he was well recognized as the boys high school basketball official scorekeeper.
- He was involved with Wellsville youth athletics as a coach, trainer, and official for over 30 years!
- Helped organize and served as one of the original officers of the Wellsville Sports Boosters Club.
- He was the founder of the Village of Wellsville Youth and Recreation Department.
- He was a pillar in the Wellsville sports community.

St. Bonaventure University- He came to Wellsville in 1962. In his 40 year career he served the district as a teacher, principal, and coach in four different sports.
- Best known as a softball coach, his teams compiled a record of 198 wins and 39 losses, including a New York State record of 58 wins in a row. His softball teams won seven Section V Titles including 5 consecutive titles from 1994-1998.
- The Olean Times Herald has honored him by presenting a softball coach each year with the Frank Cady Big 30 Coach of the Year Award.
- In 2008 he was inducted into the Allegany County Hall of Fame.
- In 1991 he was chosen as the Wellsville Chamber of Commerce Man of the Year.

College: Alfred State- Won a sectional championship in wrestling in 1953 while setting a high school record with 22 straight pins.
- After graduation from college he became a high school official in wrestling where he served for 20 years.
- Later in his life he became a track and field official at the high school and college level where he served over 5 years.
- Volunteered his service for many years to the Wellsville High School athletics in the sports of football and track.
- Worked at the Wellsville Volunteer Ambulance Corps for many years where he taught the Wellsville High School coaching staff first aid and CPR.
**Sandra "Ma" Dillie

College: Geneseo State University- It would be difficult to find anyone who contributed more to the Wellsville athletic program than Ma Dillie. For over 30 years she kept the score book and stats in the sports of football, wrestling, volleyball, and softball.
- She was an avid supporter of all sports not only at the high school level, but in the community as well. Her volunteer work was endless.
- A popular figure in the community she served on the School Board of Education for nine years, serving as president for the last two.
- True to her nickname of Ma Dillie, she touched the lives of thousands of people right here in her hometown of Wellsville, New York.

College: Mansfield State College- Recognized as an outstanding leader by being selected captain of his football, basketball, and baseball team his senior year
- Broke the single game scoring record in basketball by scoring 34 points in 1953
- He average 16 points per game for his high school career in basketball.
- Was selected Athlete of the Year his senior year in high school
- Received an athletic scholarship to Mansfield State College

College: Mansfield State University- Won the sectional championship in wrestling in 1953
- Each year in Section V the outstanding wrestler is given the John J. Ordiway Award in memory of him.
- Selected to the Livingston County Athletic Association Wrestling Hall of Fame
- Started in football for 3 years at Mansfield State College
- He is given credit for developing the football program at Pittsford Sutherland High School and in his honor the field in named Ordiway Field
Lou Molisani
Class of 1954
Coached: 1967-1992
College: Ithaca University- Was recognized as an excellent motivator and getting the most out of the talent on his teams
- Established Wellsville as a football power in Western New York from 1965-1982, Record 72-55-4
- Coached the girls basketball team to two Section V Championships
- Reached the New York State Final Four in 1989-1990
- Was chosen as Section V Girls Basketball Coach of the Year in 1990-1991
- His girls basketball teams won over 100 games in just five years, going 66-3 from 1989-1991
Phil Swarthout

College: Alfred State College- Chosen as the Athlete of the Year his senior year in high school
- Selected to the Olean Times Herald All Star Basketball Team his senior year
- As a running back in football, he averaged 6.7 yards per carry for the 1955 season.
- He set the Section V record for the mile medley in track in 1954, and then broke the same record again in 1955.
- He won the 100 yard dash at Spring Day both in 1954 and 1955.
