Mr. Jay Stewart

Jay Stewart is a partner with the firm Heninger Garrison Davis, LLC and represents individuals and businesses in a broad array of personal injury and wrongful death claims and complex civil litigation matters arising out of motor vehicle collisions, medical malpractice, premises liability, construction, insurance, and business disputes.  Prior to joining Heninger Garrison Davis, Jay was a member and/or shareholder at the firms Gordon, Dana & Gilmore and Carr Allison and served as In-house Corporate Counsel for the Bruno Event Team/Alabama Sports Foundation where he drafted and oversaw the implementation and activation of venue, media and corporate partner agreements for the Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA) and its championship events.

Jay received a JD/MBA from Cumberland School of Law and the Brock School of Business at Samford University and a Bachelors of Science in Business Management from Samford University.  

Jay is a lifelong resident of Vestavia Hills and a 1991 graduate of Vestavia Hills High School where he played football, basketball and baseball for AHSAA Hall of Fame Coaches Buddy Anderson, George Hatchett and Sammy Dunn.  Jay assisted the City of Vestavia Hills with establishing the Vestavia Hills Sports Hall of Fame in 2010 and served as the co-chairman for the 2010 and 2012 induction banquets. Jay is a current member of the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame Selection Committee and previously served on the Board of the Professional Liability Defense Federation and was the Honorary Chairman of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Birmingham MS Leadership Class in 2011. 

Jay and his wife, Brooke, have three children, including one student who attends Pizitz Middle School as well as 2016 and 2019 graduates of Vestavia Hills High School. Jay and his family attend Dawson Memorial Baptist Church.
